The 12th Annual Levis Commons Tree Lighting

Will Make The Night, And Local Hearts, Glow Bright

The Levis Commons 50-foot Christmas Tree will be lit with the most festive holiday flair on Saturday, November 19th.  But it’s not only the tree that will glow bright with this event.  The Tree Lighting will once again kick off the “Best Toy Ever” toy drive for Lucas County Children Services, bringing joy to dozens of kids in the Toledo area this Christmas.

The 12th Annual Tree Lighting will start at 6pm with Santa arriving in a parade through the boulevard in a sleigh of lights with an entourage of lighted dancers, baton twirlers, hoop dancers, BMX stunt riders, and more.  The light parade will take Santa and Mrs. Claus to his holiday home on the boulevard for kids to get a jump-start on sharing their wish list with him.

Immediately after the parade, be dazzled by silk acrobatics, floating trapeze performers and fire dancers with the presentation of Cirque Du Santa! The circus performance will lead right up to the countdown to the magical moment when thousands of twinkling lights will pop on, illuminating the 50-foot tree!

“We are so excited about the new elements of this annual event,” said Allison Schroeder, Levis Commons Marketing Director.  “Cirque Du Santa will combine classic Christmas style with a modern twist!”

Along with the “Best Toy Ever” drive, be introduced to this year’s “First Family of Levis Commons”, a very special family nominated by Lucas County Children Services who will be the presenting guests and VIP’s of the event.  New, unwrapped toys will be accepted during the Tree Lighting and through the entire holiday season in select locations throughout Levis Commons.
