Grinch Themed Tree Lighting
Levis Commons “Grinch” Themed Tree Lighting
Taking The Town Center From Grinchy Green To Sparkling White
PERRYSBURG, OH (October 24, 2018)– The Levis Commons Annual Tree Lighting will light the night and grow your hearts with a stage production that is Grinched to the max. Join in the fun on Saturday November 17th as the 50ft Levis Commons Christmas tree goes from Grinchy Green to star sparkling white as the Grinches heart grows three sizes that night!
The annual Levis Commons event will again kick off the holiday season and welcome the arrival of Santa. Guests can enjoy horse drawn carriage rides, visits with Santa, giveaways, Grinch themed activities, hot cocoa, popcorn and a musical stage production leading up to the countdown of the lighting of the tree.
The stage production is a collaboration of several local musical favorites coordinated by the talented Ben DeLong. A narrator straight out of “Whoville” will help guests follow the story told through music and dance, of how the Grinch against Christmas just doesn’t stand a chance. The crowd, armed with Grinch green glow sticks provided by ProMedica, will be encouraged to help Santa reform the Grinch and turn the tree from green to white! Swingmania will highlight the show with their rendition of “You’re A Mean One Mister Grinch”.
“The idea of this theme was inspired by the new Grinch movie release” said Allison Schroeder, Levis Commons Marketing Director. “We expanded on the idea by titling our production “How Levis Commons Saved Christmas” to show that heartfelt feel good Christmas joy can be found among the retail hustle and bustle of the season.”
Tree Lighting activities include:
Grinch themed activities and menu items in Levis Commons businesses Noon-9pm.
Horse drawn carriage rides 5pm-9pm
Stage production 6pm-7pm with tree being lit at 7pm
